Sunday SHG Mart — Creating a Local Marketplace for Women

A weekly engine for local enterprise

The Sunday SHG Mart brings women’s products into a regular local marketplace, giving Self-Help Groups a recurring place to showcase and sell within the Phaltan community.

Working through Phaltan Municipal Council under the guidance of Shri Samsher Dada Naik Nimbalkar, Mayor of Phaltan Municipal Council, Siddhali Anup Shah contributed to building the initiative as a micro-economic engine rather than a one-time event.

Fifty groups, one shared market

The updated programme brief records 50 Self-Help Groups participating each week, creating repeated opportunities for women to meet customers, test products and develop local market access.
